The Project
Leanpub is an e-book publishing system and online storefront. It helps authors write & publish e-books and connect with their readers.
Launched in October 2010, Leanpub has undergone a series of technical and business pivots. As of August 2011, there are 52 published books on Leanpub, and approximately another 400 in progress (and/or abandoned) books.
My Role
As one of the two first employees hired at the startup, I helped lay the technical foundation for Leanpub, developed the Dropbox integration (open-sourcing dbox in the process), and created a flexible system for the book generation pipeline (open-sourcing simplejob).
In addition to development, I designed the Leanpub.com homepage as well as various other pages.
